Donald Trump has reached 50 percent support from Republicans and Republican-leaners nationally for the first time since the beginning of the NBC News|SurveyMonkey Weekly Election Tracking Poll in late December. This milestone is significant as the 2016 primary heads into its final few weeks of contests, as there has been intense speculation that Trump's support has a ceiling. Though his support has hovered in the high 40s since mid-March, the front-runner had yet to secure half of Republican voters.
These results are according to the latest NBC News|SurveyMonkey Weekly Election Tracking poll conducted online from April 18 to April 24 of 10,707 adults aged 18 and over, including 9,405 registered voters.

When I signed on with Trump, I sent him an email telling him not to break my heart. It had been years since I actively participated in politics and I was bitter and angry over W and his second term.
I can’t imagine how they feel, and I think he is a piece of garbage for using them the way that he did.
I hope they do not do what I did and sit out the next ten years. Nobody wins if they do.
Half of voting republicans are wrong now.
After tonight there will absolutely be zero path to 1237 for Cruz even for the most diehard Cruz supporters.
The question becomes for each of us, “Will we take a chance on Trump, or will we rip apart a chance to unify the forces opposing the socialists?”
I say take a chance on Trump so this is settled now. Trump is NOT a socialist. He is a capitalist. That is undeniable.
Cruz is the male side of Hillary Clinton come to life. By virtue of their sleaze and nastiness, they could be brother and sister fraternal twins.
By all means FRiend! I can’t remember who I stole it from myself, but as the saying goes “I only steal from the best”.
Feel free to use ANY of my graphics you see posted, my pleasure to share.
Ditto.
Democrat participation in the primary is down by millions, Republican participation in the primary is up by millions. Our leading candidate has 2 million more votes than Romney did at this stage in the election. It is not that hard to figure out. Why does the party leadership not seem to see that it is time to get behind the presumptive nominee? I am sure that after Cruz and Kasich get steam rolled tonight they will. /s
Remember when the Martian Ambassador blew up Congress?
LOLBOOM!
Vote Trump
This guy is one of my favorite twitter accounts to follow.
Consistently hilarious. Close enough to Bill Kristol that you can never be sure where parody meets truth.

“But he could end up as the VP candidate.”
I think that is what he is shooting for even though I would hate to see him as VP.
“Cruz turned out to be such a phoney and an establishment stooge”
Only those who have their heads so far up Ted’s rear end are blind to it. I can now see why there are so many of his colleagues in the Senate who can’t stand him.
“Boy did the mask come off this election. So many have been exposed for the pestilence they represent.”
That is so true. I have been amazed by the actions of some who I have supported in the past. No more.
“Im sure Rush & Levin will report with glee this poll. /S”
My money is on that Rush does not mention it. He will talk about some Apple product rather than talk about this poll.
I think Ted has a split personality between Eustice Haney and Elmer Gantry.
“Cruz is the male side of Hillary Clinton come to life. By virtue of their sleaze and nastiness, they could be brother and sister fraternal twins.”
Good point.
“As long as there is still one delegate to filch, one favor to call in, one tawdry backroom deal to strike, we are still in this! #CruzCrew”
Bwahahahahahaha. That is a good one.
But the GOPe claimed his ceiling was 40 percent.
