Love you mentioned Lady and the Tramp - perfect!
I rarely order spaghetti out, but when I do I either roll it on a spoon or cut it so the pieces fit on a fork. I love to watch toddlers eat spaghetti and slurp it up - grown men (especially Govs and prez candidates), not so much.
I always order short pasta out, easier to handle. On the other hand, Italians know the art of rolling spaghetti around a fork, the secret is small strands so they wind around the fork tight.. now I am hungry, I only had a banana for breakfast.
I used to roll it on a spoon, but was severely reprimanded by the Italian guy I was dating. He insisted on the proper Italian way — twirl it on the fork perpendicular to the plate. It works, assuming there are no little hanging-down strands that could touch your chin. As The Donald said to Barron, “Little bites”.
