Encouraging news about the voting in CT! Fingers crossed - thanks for the report.

We get a lot of Salmon out here. I personally like Pacific wild Salmon better than Atlantic or farm raised (it’s just what one gets used to). What you’ve mentioned are ways we’ve fixed it. I don’t buy it for myself often, usually have it at my sister’s when BIL grills it. He started using an alder plank someone gave him. He also has a Little Chief smoker and a brine recipe from my uncle and step-dad. When the Salmon is less expensive (June or July), they’ll buy a lot at Costco then freeze some in food saver bags and smoke some. The smoked is great cold/room temperature for an hors d’ourvres.

We've lived here almost 26 years and the beloved and I was saying how there has NEVER been so much traffic at the middle school ( where we vote ), as many parked cars ( we had to park in outterslobovia ! ), nor as many people voting....EVER!

My s-i-l has a BIG GREEN EGG, so he smokes or grills tons of stuff. I learned about using wood planks from him. :-)

I love salmon, but only cooked and hot. ;^)

I forgot....Teriyaki Sauce on salmon, either grilled or broiled, is also very good and also on skewers. :-)
