To: Kit cat

OK KC - I vow to not use a spoon again.

So, how does one eat it tastefully/gracefully when out besides cutting it OR ordering Penne instead of spaghetti (which I LOVE BTW). I don’t have any Italian in my heritage as far as I know, but I should as much as I love pasta!

I NEVER eat spaghetti when I go out ONLY at home, I throw a bib on and go to town, sause is ALWAYS on my chin!!! I LOVE scampi with linguni butter sauce always on my chin, there is NO WAY to not have one or two dangling noodles thus do not eat it on a date or in public!!! Kasich with TV cameras rolling is an idiot!!!

Are you talking about spaghetti? Lol, when I first moved to Switzerland, my new Swiss husband laughed at how I didn’t know how to spin the strands. I remember being so hungry and unable to eat them! A waiter did bring me a spoon and I was quite embarrassed. Luckily I learned fast. Now even my kids just copied me and picked it up like nothing.

Start with trying to just get one strand on your fork, and spin it using the plate as backing. Two strands is fine. In Europe you may eat with a knife in your other hand, here I’m not sure that is ok. If you are serving spaghetti at your own house, serve it like the Europeans do, in soup plates. That will give you some sides of the bowl part to spin against. Mmmm.
