The only open primary today is Rhode Island where Republicans and Independents can vote. I believe they vote for delegates in MD, but they are bound to the winner of the CD.

My state of Maryland has a closed primary. I registered as a democrat in high school in 1978 and switched last month to republican so that I could vote for Mr. Trump today. We vote for up to 3 delegates per candidate and up to 3 alternates. I voted for all 6 Trump delegates on my ballot. There were quite a few not designated for any candidate; I’m not sure what their status is. I always vote all delegates supporting the candidate of my choice.
