My route to TRUMP went through Rubio then Carson.
Rubio I sent $ to right out of the gate and regretted it within two weeks. Then I was a YUUUGE supporter of Carson. I still think he is brilliant and I enjoy listening to him.
BUT while I was visiting my daughter in Charlotte last November, he came to speak at a college in Rock Hill SC. It was only a few miles away so I talked my daughter and Son in law into going to hear him speak. Oh boy! He was a terrible public speaker. He talked exactly like he is talking now on Fox. I agreed with everything he said but oh so boring!!!
I knew then he could never win. I couldn’t imagine him garnering huge Rallies. All the people I talked with or overheard as we were leaving were saying the same thing. Very poor public speaker.
I still have the afghan that my grandmother crocheted for me 60 years ago. Get to work!
Oh, yeah. Cruz utterly annoys me. Now I know why his colleagues felt that way about him. The guy grew up in a very dysfunctional household, and probably didn’t have the best moral compass. I think he therefore was good at conning people. And debate is where you hone that. He found that he could persuade people with a few words. He goes to law school. The over achiever. A lot of skeletons here folks.
Notice, Trump, could have gone there by really digging up the dirt on the guy, but didn’t. He got blamed for it, when it was Rubio.
He always returns. I’ve seen him stray off topics three fold, in other he digresses once, then twice, then three times, and retraces back. He’s a master at it, and people like Rush pick up on it.
It comes from many years doing live TV, interviews etc until you are natural in front of people and the camera.
He does everything live....everything. That alone scares the heck out of people.

I agree. I have enormous respect for him and think he’s very bright. I guess he speaks rather slowly because he’s thoughtful and, for the most part, wants to make sure he uses the right words. That, plus I think he did better when he wore glasses. Not sure if he had Lasix or is wearing contacts, but his eyes always look a bit sleepy (for lack of a better word right now).
I do think he’d make a good head of DHS or Surgeon General or perhaps even the CDC.
All that said, I’m glad he’s on the Trump Train and think he probably does, too after all the shenanigans with Cheater and Eater.

I have the same story. My Grandma made each one of her granddaughters afghans, I have mine tucked away. I also have a beautiful Pineapple round tablecloth made out of nylon thread my Mom crocheted.
When my Mom was making that tablecloth she was careful to make it out of one big stand with no ties. (She was able to get a BIG spool of nylon from where my Dad worked.)
My younger bother (he was about 3 yrs old) wanted to ‘help’ so he got busy and made a big fuzz ball of a section of the thread.
Mom painstakingly smoothed the fuzz ball back into the thread form without having to cut the section out.
Yes it is nikos, I can’t believe the “warm and loving feeling” that comes over me while listening to him.....
