The Nasal and the Nattering. Combined with Hillary’s hectoring, I ask: why can’t American politicians speak in normal tones? There are voice teachers all over this country.
It’s one of my pet peeves. The movies and radio shows made back in the day (prior to the mid-sixties, maybe?) featured actors who enunciated clearly and spoke proper english with beautifully modulated tones. Many, if not most of them took voice lessons. Today, too many speak too quickly, have high-pitched, annoying voices and add too much slang to their statements.
