The correct answers to all the above queries is NO !
Can Cruz get 1237 delegates ?
A: not on the first ballot, but if Trump doesn’t get 1237 on the first ballot then recent analyses show that it is even money that Cruz could get 1237 on the second or third ballot
Can he beat Hillary?
A: a wet mop can beat Hillary. Ted Cruz has a better chance than a wet mop. So yes.
Is he a NBC?
A: Ted Cruz was born in Canada to one American citizen. But the real question is eligibility. Numerous courts have either accepted his eligibility or have refused to hear challenges. Donald Trump, with his well paid legal staff, has NOT directly challenged Ted Cruz’s eligibility. There has been ZERO legal decisions that indicate that Cruz is ineligible
Is staying in the race, hoping for a brokered convention “CONSERVATIVE”?
A: A “brokered convention” is where the GOPe decides who is the nominee because the established nomination rules are unable do to provide a candidate with the majority of delegates. That happens AFTER a “contested convention”, which DOES follow established nomination rules. A “contested convention” will be the second or third ballots that will only happen if Trump cannot win a majority of delegates on the first ballot. So, a brokered convention is not conservative. A CONTESTED convention is just the established rules.
