If Cruz cannot win the nomination on a second or third ballot, and the convention goes to a brokered convention...then I might agree with you.
But if Cruz wins on the second or third ballot because enough individual delegates (not GOPe) switch from Trump to Cruz, then Cruz hasn’t “stolen” anything. Your frustration would be with the system.
If Ted Cruz has broken any rules in securing second ballot delegates, then I urge you to bring this to the attention of the FEC immediately rather than waste your time venting on FR
I don’t think he’s going to be able to answer your question.
Thanks, Stentor!
I ‘get’ Trump. He reminds me a lot of my Great grandfather, Grandfather and Great Uncles (all moguls). They could be ruthless in business and had egos to match their bank accounts but they were intellectually honest. They stated their position and they followed through. Their word was their bond. I see that in Trump. He has followed through on even simple promises to strangers. Trump cares about Trump (true of everyone frankly esp those in politics), but it is also in Trump’s best interest and the interest of his brand to follow through to the best of his ability.
That is quite good.
Donald Trump has support from many tea party activists nationwide. In Georgia, tea party activists are part of the Trump Leadership team. A survey I sent out to 350 Georgia tea party activists a few weeks ago found that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)97%
only had a 10-point advantage over Donald Trump. In talking to activists nationwide, I would expect you would see the same results state after state. Ohio tea party leader Ralph King helped organize delegates for Mr. Trump in Ohio and found much support for Trump among tea party activists.
For these reasons, I am personally endorsing a winner for President Donald Trump. Please join me and lets win the battle for the heart and soul of our nation by electing Donald Trump in 2016.

the Teaparty is made up of individual patriots - it’s not some club. and many would disagree with you - like Sarah Palin
“Cruz, Kasich, et al are mathematically eliminated and cannot win the nomination per the voters. They can attempt to re-wrest the nomination away from Trump and away from We the People only by corrupt establishment treachery at the convention. And that will split and destroy the party and guarantee a Hillary win.”

Really? Well, forgive me for believing that you were better than that. Mea culpa.
Jim, just saw this and I am disgusted:
Go ahead, Donald, get 1,237; it won’t matter: RNC delegate

As much as I would like to see Cruz on the Supreme Court, I’d be shocked if the Senate confirmed him.
McConnell probably wouldn’t even schedule a hearing.
Does a NeverCruz position change anything in your post?
Lincoln won after trailing after the first ballot & that didn’t turn out too badly. I’m not rallying around the current front runner, but I am never Hillary...
I agree. If Trump follows through on just half his promises, we’ll be much better off. Hillary would likely be as bad or worse than Obama. Cruz needs to give it up for the sake of the country.
“Lincoln won after trailing after the first ballot & that didnt turn out too badly.”
What about the Civil War?
I forgive you...
I fully intend to support Trump if he is indeed the nominee. Hillary should be in a federal prison, NOT running for president.
It is your kind that get nasty if anyone so much as expresses concern about Trump, it will be your kind that will be to blame if Hillary ends up the next president.
All we have to go on is Trumps words, no actual track record. That concerns me a little BFD, that does not make me a paid Hillary troll.
That turned out well for freedom & equality...or have you also changed your position on that?
We are now at the point of Trump vs Hillary; America, home of the free, and brave, may her banner wave...
Cruz and Kasich are ‘establishment’, they are backed by ‘establishment’ and they believe and vote like ‘establishment’ and the ‘establishment’ has gotten America to where she is right now this minute...
Trump is an American, brought up with American values, built his company and raised his beautiful family with these American values...
If you want to destroy America and all she stands for, you have a decision to make, mine has been made since Trump announced in June 2015...
I hope that what Jim says will help you decide just how important this election is, we lose this one, we lose America and we lose all of us...simple, IMHO...
