A Republican National Convention delegate from Colorado said Friday that Donald Trump's senior adviser told him the campaign was dropping its challenge to rival Ted Cruz's sweep of the state's delegates -- an account the campaign is disputing.
Guy Short, a national delegate from Colorado and member of the convention's rules committee, said he approached Trump's convention manager, Paul Manafort, after he gave Republican Party insiders a private briefing in Florida earlier this week and asked about Trump's threat to challenge what the billionaire has called a "rigged" system.
"Is the Trump campaign going to challenge the credentials of the Colorado delegation? And he said, 'no,'" Short, a Cruz supporter, said. According to Short, Manafort "said, 'Cooler heads have prevailed. We're moving forward. We're trying to unite the party.'" But Manafort characterized the exchange as a "passing comment," not a change of position, downplaying its significance.
He said he would characterize his conversation with Short as "we are sorting (the) matter out and left it consistent with the Trump position," Manafort said in an email to CNN. "The Trump campaign is investigating if these issues should trigger a credentials challenge. A final decision will be made when our investigation is finished."

It really doesn’t matter, because Trump will get to 1237 before the convention. If anything, the CO results hurt Cruz and his allies in the establishment more than anyone else. It pulled back the curtain on the whole delegate process, something most of us had never paid much attention to in the past.
Stop Hillary!
“Cooler heads have prevailed.”
Sounds like Trump is in good hands!
Doug Weat was saying on Lou Dobbs this week to watch the Credentials Committee. He is a Libertarian who is a convention historian and worked with Ron Paul, in 2012.
TRUMP campaign has every reason to challenge as necessary, at the National Convention. Romney challenged Paul delegates and they were removed from the floor. Some bodily.
Manafort seems to take care of first things first, tending first to winning California and Indiana, and investigating for delegate challenges to be brought up at Convention.
These Cruz poseurs may not all get to skate after all.
1. How exactly did the politburo tell me and my neighbors (where the straw poll was 22 Cruz to 6 Trump) who we should choose amongst ourselves to represent our caucus precinct at the state convention?
2. Did Manafort smoke a pack of those funny cigarettes when he was working for the COMMUNIST oligarch he tried to prop up in Ukraine?.
He also worked as an adviser on the Ukrainian presidential campaign of Viktor Yanukovych[9] even as the U.S. government (and McCain) opposed Yanukovych because of his ties to Russia's Vladimir Putin.[4] Manafort was hired to advise Yanukovych months after massive street demonstrations known as the Orange Revolution overturned Yanukovych's victory in the 2004 presidential race. [10] Borys V. Kolesnikov, Yanukovichs campaign manager, said the party hired Manafort after identifying organizational and other problems in the 2004 elections, in which it was advised by Russian strategists. [9]
FAIL.
Trump never needed, or expected to receive, any delegates from CO-—or MT, NE, or UT for that matter.
Instead, Trump got a massive PR boost and made Ted look petty and corrupt.
win/win

He better. Listening to Dana PeRino(PeRino is second only to Karl Rove as the top GOPe RINO at FNC and just as repugnant)this morning on “Fox & Friends” the GOPe thinks even 1236 delegates “doesn’t meet the requirements” and thus the nomination should go to the convention. “Rules are rules.”
Despite reports to the contrary, the GOPe ain’t done yet.
Rnc chair needs to hear Trump say to him “you’re FIRED”

It’s actually quite interesting. A major political party is doing all it can to prevent the nomination of it’s front runner.
Big Tent Party??? More like “Exclusive Palace Party”.
1. If Trump is the nominee, I'll vote for him.
>>Cruz is underperforming.
2. This isn't about Cruz. It's about what sort of damage control conservatives can expect to be doing as President Trump wobbles America down the path.
What sort of 'conservative' picks a campaign manager who has a history of collaborating with COMMUNIST oligarch thugs?

Obviously the new talking point. Ham Rove on O’Reilly going all in, “the GOP is damaged either way” “either by taking from Trump or having him lose to Hillary”. What a complete idiot. They are assured a loss if they take this from Trump.
Here is when the politburo got involved with Colorado politics,
Cruz supporters in the Colorado Republican Party were responsible for crushing the effort to give Colorado the ability to vote in a state primary.
May 2015, four Colorado Senate Republicans killed an initiative to create a presidential primary for March 2016 that would have ran parallel with the states complicated caucus system.
When the bill came before the Senate Appropriations Committee, three Democrats supporting it and four Republicans voted to kill the bill.
The four Colorado Senate Republican who voted against the initiative were Sen. Kevin Grantham, Sen. Kent Lambert, Sen. Laura Woods, and Sen. Jerry Sonnenberg.
Senators Woods, Grantham, and Lambert are all listed as On Cruzs campaign website as supporters and are declared members of Cruzs Colorado Leadership team.
They have also become Cruz delegates and/or alterante delegates for the convention. Cruz’ corrupted allies controlled the Colorado caucus.

What impact did that specifically have when me and my neighbors selected the volunteers who would represent our neighborhood (caucus-precinct) at the Colorado state convention?
CO survey predates the CO caucus by a few days. 4/6/16
TRUMP CARD: Magellan Poll Finds That Trump Would Trump Cruz in a Primary
Colorado Peak Politics -Conservative Bully Pulpit ^ Colorado Peak Politics
There has been a lot of agitation from the Trump Camp about the caucus process in Colorado and, maybe, now we know why. A Magellan poll released today shows that in a head to head match up, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump would beat his opponent Ted Cruz in Colorado.
Here are the numbers when voting on the current ballot:
44% Trump
34% Cruz
17% Kasich
5% undecided
If voters were asked to choose between Cruz and Trump, the result is little changed:
48% Trump
42% Cruz According to the poll, Trumps top spot is due to his strong stance on immigration and national security. From the poll summary:
Simply put, support for Donald Trump is being driven by his dominance among the 22% of voters that believe stopping illegal immigration is the the top issue.
Among those voters, 59% support Donald Trump and only 26% support Ted Cruz. Additionally, of the 20% of respondents that chose National Security Issues as the top issue, 40% support Donald Trump and 27% support Ted Cruz. To summarize, on each of the top two issues, Donald Trump holds a double-digit lead over Ted Cruz, including a substantial 23-point lead on the issue of stopping illegal immigration.
This survey was done on April 5th and 6th of this year of 609 likely Republican primary voters in Colorado. The survey was not paid for by any candidate, campaign, committee, independent expenditure committee or individual, according to Magellan.
