Sanders has helped Dems not be able to crossover to any great effect. If Sanders was out it would also make an argument for Cruz or Kasich to get out because Dems and TDS types could vote against Trump for one candidate.
I wonderfully simple, humbly submitted argument. A pre-emptive strike as well, because Hillary has been nothing if not a resume builder. But Trump has said all along this would be an election based on competence.
People make fun of Trump's simply "buffoonish" language, but, imo, this is a good example of how well it can work (and get quoted in the papers, to boot.)
Then there's the whole psy-ops angle with the soon-to-be-seriously-disgruntled Bernie voters. Even if Trump only gets 10% of them in the general, it's picking off enemy votes.
Just my two cents. I've been wrong a million times before.
I find it fascinating that Trump and Sanders agree on where we are as a nation and how we got here. They just disagree vehemently on how we’re going to get out of this mess.
