Not always. Back in the mid 70s, it used to be the place to go for Congressional secretaries. Had a nice small military MWR facility there. VP Bidet had it closed.

It used to be a nice family beach. Of course families left when pole smokers started ruining the place. Now most go to Lewes or a Jersey beach.

wow that’s sad. late to the thread. when I was a kid Rehoboth Beach, DE and Ocean City, MD were the places to go for a nice one-day vacation (I grew up in Bethesda).
