He marched to his own beat also, and lovers of freedom should always find a place in their heart for a bit of kindness instead of scorn. RIP.
I thought his “Revolution” band was special, and didn’t like his subsequent bands as much. But the show he did at the Suoer Bowl a few years ago stands out as the pinnacle of professionalism: he played in a serious rainstorm and acted like nothing was going on.
