As I have made the stroll from my wifes hospital room to the NICU these past few days it has been hard to fathom the way that our family has been put together.
This past Sunday, my gorgeous wife a white evangelical, like me gave birth to our beautiful African-American triplet daughters whom we adopted as embryos. These sweet girls will hopefully soon be coming home to meet their 3-year-old African-American brother and 2-year-old biracial sister, both of whom we adopted as infants. The normalcy of this paragraph is something I have come to take for granted. Yet what seems to us to be the logical outcome of being pro-life is still something that to others often needs much explaining.

Aren’t there already plenty of already born black children they could adapt? I would think that would be the Christian thing to do.
Propaganda works. “Three weeks of press treatment and the truth is recognized by all.” O. Spengler
Adopting black kids who need a home? No problem.
Everything else in that article sounds like a weird fetish.
Here in Utah, we see quite a few black babies with white families...they’re everywhere.
And one of the things I’ve learned since I lived here, it that it is cheaper to adopt black babies than it is to adopt white babies.
I asked the natives because I’d never seen this in my life.
That was their answer.
Well, I guess it saves on college costs.
White guilt causes weird fetish see media.
Why? So they can be aborted???
Are you suggesting it’s wrong to seek out black embryos and to implant them into your women? Expect a call from HR, my friend.
I don’t know how any Christian can read the Bible and go for artificial anything to achieve conception. YHWH closes up wombs for His own reasons, and He opens them for his own reasons. Look at the trouble it caused when Sarah decided YHWH was taking too long on His promise to her and convinced Abraham to “go into” Hagar!
Your handle is appropriate! This is runination! ;-)
People being parents is one thing, and a good thing to say the least. If they had adopted free African-American infants, I would stand up and cheer them.
But there is something I find extremely creepy about the concept of deliberately implanting embryos of blacks in order to what, try to lift a perceived veil of prejudice or something?
There’s something about that aspect of this that disturbs me.
They claim to be evangelical, yet they play God with human life.
Darn spell check. Should be THREE not FREE.
I found this whole thing creepy.
Spell check did it’s job——”free” was correctly spelled.
.
“””Theres something about that aspect of this that disturbs me.”””
It’s based on an immense selfishness. It’s all about “ Look at me! See how great I am!”
I know a preacher and his wife who adopted a black girl. they raised her to be a faithful christian. As she approached adulthood, however, the radical blacks ripped her away from them and now they are all but estranged from her and her black husband. The racism on the black side far exceeds the white side for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON. I despise all of them who think like that.
He seems to think these little children will be badges of honor rather than babies that just need love and care.
“LOOK HOW INBIASED AND TOLERANT WE ARE.”
Sad.
.
One word: PERVERTED.
They didn’t encourage in vitro but adopted embryos that had been created as “by-products” of someone else’s in vitro. As the mother of an adopted 3 year old, I think this is a good thing. The earlier you bond the better.
