Illicit court opinions need not be "repealed."
According to the fundamental principles, not just of America but of Western Civilization going all the way back to Cicero, laws or decrees which violate the laws of nature and nature's God or our Constitution are NULL AND VOID. In other words, legally, they simply DO NOT EXIST. In other words, they can only be ignored.
Any politician who doesn't understand this simple principle has disqualified himself from consideration for any office of public trust.
It must be nice living in your theoretical world. Here in the real world, gays can AND ARE getting married in all 50 states. That isn’t going to change. You can spout platitudes all day, but the GOP has by and large abandoned this fight. But please tell me, how in the world you think Oberfell will be overturned or same sex marriage will be outlawed in the future. I don’t want to hear pie in the sky semantics, I want to hear a pragmatic, real world solution.
