Something is seriously wrong with Ted. I used to be a big fan but no way anymore with this garbage, he’s done as far as getting the nomination outright.

It’s pretty obvious for him to stay in he is now helping the GOPe try to get the candidate they want, screw the American people.

Maybe all those years in government, Ted is really a statist and thinks he is entitled.

The Establishment doesn’t want either man. Cruz is a tackler, not a running back. Watch them sit on their hands this fall, just as they did when Goldwater ran.

I agree CG. The Cruz we are seeing now is NOT the Cruz I voted for in Texas.

BTW, has Cruz even mentioned the people suffering in his home area of Houston? The deaths? The disastrous floods due to the rains? Has Cruz even said one peep about the people he allegedly is fighting for?

I can’t find anything. If someone knows of a Cruz statement about the deaths in Houston, I’d like to see it thank you.

The delegates, not the people, choose the candidate. Each state organization is basically independent of the NRP. There is a national elite, meaning the people based in Washington, and local elites based in the several states. The elites, and/or activists decide how the delegates are to be chosen. You seem to want pure democracy, which is not how our system of government is organized. We have a form of mixed government with a senatorial class in each state and a popular class. The two overlap. If the senatorial class seems to become a caste then we get restive, and someone like Trump or Cruz can rise to challenge them. At the presidential level, that person will always be a member of the senatorial class. Of the candidates, only Carson and Bernie are not members of the senatorial class.
