Donald Trump called Romney's immigration policy "mean-spirited". Trump also says he will expedite the return of illegals back into the country - something Romney opposed.

On health care, Romney said that health care was not the federal government's job. Trump says that under a Trump Presidency, everybody will be taken care of.

So yes, Trump is to the left of Romney. You might not like it, but there is not a single position out there where Trump is to the right of where Romney was four years ago.
