Cruz faces two possibilities:
Either he will see the writing on the wall, wise up, and help unify the party, or else the voters themselves will show him the door over the next several weeks.
In the latter case, Ted Cruz's burgeoning career will be destroyed, and the architect of the destruction will be Ted Cruz himself.
People have talked about Trump's ego and narcissism, but id Ted Cruz stays on the track he's going, he will have made Trump's issues in those areas pale in comparison.
At some point before he commits career suicide, Ted friends, family, and colleagues should convince him of the propriety of beginning the healing process sooner, rather than later.
Not only will there not be a contested convention, but even if there is, Donald Trump will emerge as the nominee.
When the country is at stake, selfishness and technicall considerations will yield to doing what's right for the country.
Wake up, Ted. And wake up, Cruz fanboys...
Vote Trump
My guess is Cruz is done either way. I predicted last July the Cruz was making a big mistake cozying up to Trump. He probably signed his own political death certificate then. But Crus had a lot of stupidity to go along with some intelligence.
