Oh MAN. Here we go.

The doomsday people have got their attention they wanted. The problem here is, the USGS didnt do themselves any good by taking the seismic chart offline. Hen, one of the head honchos that the U of Utah told one that he wouldnt talk about why.

Here are the facts as I have read them and told by a geologist. That thing goes off, and it will someday, it could well be a global extinction event. It depends on the size of the eruption-meaning even the smallest one historically was much bigger than Tambora? in the early 1800s.

That one caused global famine. Will it go this year? Next Year? When? Nobody knows. But, if anyone thinks that they are safe if outside the fallout zone, they are mistaken. It will cause global cooling worldwide and most of the earths population will die.

So, running around like shickens with your head chopped off isnt going to do any good. Best thing is to get out of the way-which is the responsibilty of the USGS and other agencies. How much time would there be? Weeks.

The one disaster I see happening way before Yellowstone is the Cascadia Fault. That one is close to happening.

Eat. drink and be merry, for tomorrow, next year, a decade from now or thousands of years — we die.

Yellowstone is one of my favorite places. I have been through Yellowstone 18 times. It might not be until after I buy my dream sports car (still shopping), but I’ll go back again, and again.
