Incidentally, the translation of the name is not smoking mountain, it is continually smoking mountain. Poca in Nahuatl is the verb “to smoke”. Popoca means “to smoke continually.”

Yes, there is a whole lot of shaking and smoking going on and I think this may mark the end of a 30+- period of increased earth activity. I have noticed a 90 year cycle for the past 3 centuries, with 30 years of greater activity and about 60 years of lesser activity. I have gone over this in great detail at other posts, but it is now past my bedtime. Goodnight.
