80 is a very special number for Jews, I won't go into Kabbalah now, but know that Moses was 80 years old when he led the Jews out of Egypt (hey isn't Pesach in a few hours???) and 80 when he transmitted the Torah to them.
Now, from the link above, the Specola Vaticana (Vatican Observatory) in Castel Gandolfo, celebrated their 80th anniversary THIS year. The date? it started on Sept, 14, 2015 (which means nothing) but the REAL date, is 1 Tishrei, 5776, ROSH HASHANAH!
