THis is an entirely different country than it was 40 years ago. We are trending away from religion and we ARE NOT becoming more conservative. Wishful thinking isn’t going to change that.

Disagree, and not wishful thinking — and certainly not a reason to cave to a populist candidate who is as liberal and authoritarian as the ‘RATS. We remain a center-right country, despite the assaults of the Left and demographic shifts. Forty percent of the country are conservatives, 20% are liberals, and 40% are persuadable middle of the roaders. The ‘Pubs have made extremely poor arguments for electing another conservative in the Coolidge-Reagan mold. The conservative message is one of freedom, love of country, and personal responsibility. Despite the high numbers on the govt. dole, it's a message that, when properly presented, rings true to the majority of Americans.
