Yep. I think the really sad thing is that a lot of us were naive to believe the GOP didn’t actually want Obamacare. Looking back now, how could we be so stupid? It involved the FedGov swallowing a huge part of private industry. Of course the GOP became complicit. More power.
When they get down to one insurance company remaining, then the government by proxy will have single payer. BUT, they’ll be able to call it ‘private’.
Think about it.
The 2nd Amendment is NOT a States’ Rights deal. It is the one amendment that is absolute. It does not say “Congress shall make no law...” It says “shall not be infringed” and does not specify who may not do the infringing. That means neither the States nor the Feds nor individuals are Constitutionally permitted to infringe the RtKaBA.
I’m 100% pro 2nd amendment. But technically.... California isn’t making owning a gun illegal. They’re saying you cant sell one in California.
That is most definitely “infringing” on the right to keep and bear arms. If no one is permitted to sell them to you then you are barred from keeping and bearing.
