I hate to defend Cruz because I think he does set the tone for his campaign. But Cruz’s campaign team has been completely infiltrated by GOP insiders. I am not sure that he even has control over his own team, and certainly not the superpacs which this probably came from. The Cruz team is plying right into the Lyin’ Ted narrative. I don’t think that this is inadvertent and I think that it is harmful to Cruz’s future in politics.
