Among the Brooklyn voters mysteriously purged from the Democratic rolls day: @jacobkornbluh— Michael Tracey (@mtracey) April 20, 2016
Amid the unexpected surge in voting this season, for what it’s worth its best to double check with your local voting office well in advance of the general election to be assured that your voting status isn’t defunct.
I’d heard of election office irregularities in my own state prior to the caucuses, and so I contacted my local to be sure that things were ok. They weren’t. I got it fixed.
Anymore, you can’t be sure your address is correct at your doctor’s office, much less an election office! I just found that my doctor’s office replaced my current address and phone number with one that I had in a different state 10 years ago, one that I’ve never given to my doctor in this state 500 miles from the old one!
But bill collectors and advertising call centers can find you easy enough, can’t they?? Lol
