Anyone can hold a debate, but neither Jolly nor Grayson has won his party’s nomination, and both face substantial competitors ...
Grayson is correct about one thing, Cruz should not be seeking to become Usurp the II.
Here’s a transcript from a radio interview with Alan Colmes that Alan Grayson gave last year.
Grayson stated he would file a lawsuit challenging Sen. Ted Cruz’s presidential candidacy if he won the Republican nomination because Cruz was born in Canada.
He said Cruz was “technically not an American,” according to the transcript, to which Colmes noted that “like Obama” Cruz’s mother was born in the United States.
“Its interesting to me that the people who had a problem with Obamas birth certificate dont have a problem with Ted Cruz who literally was born in another country and renounced his Canadian citizenry,” Colmes said, according to the transcript.
“I dont know, the Constitution says natural born Americans, so now were counting Canadians as natural born Americans? How does that work?”
Grayson responded. “Im waiting for the moment that he gets the nomination and then I will file that beautiful lawsuit saying that hes unqualified for the job because hes in eligible.”
