All the Trump-haters on FR seem to be people who have been cheated on. They just can’t get over it. It’s as if he walked on them personally. They are seething with resentment, adamant that a man who sowed his wild oats when plenty of women put themselves blatantly on offer in his younger years is never to be forgiven, no matter how long ago it was, how much he has since reformed and/or settled down, or how little it matters to the task at hand.
Reminds me of that great old joke: A respectable matron steps into a butcher shop and asks for a nice plump chicken. The butcher plops a nice plump chicken on the scale, pats it fondly and says, “$7.99.” The woman looks at it this way and that, tsking, and finally, opens the legs of the chicken and takes a sniff. “Maybe it’s not so fresh!” she begins, trying to haggle. “Lady,” counters the butcher, “could you pass such a test?”
