And yet.... We could have used this type of 'turbine' and it wouldn't harm any flying creatures, it wouldn't generate the 'whump-whump' noise , and We could mount them in much greater density, thus occupying less land.
Heck, these could be mounted atop every light pole. Every building could have them mounted all over the roof, and no one would even see them.
