So, you’re flying the Union Jack today? That’s no Greek breakfast pic.

Good morning friends.. Happy that tonight is the big night that The Mayor and his group have worked on.. bringing DJT to the Niagara/Buffalo area. I have a busy day (including getting my taxes finished and filed) and a lot of errands and yard work at home.. but I’ll be back with you all for the rally and the Right Side broadcast.

YUGE day tomorrow.

Right Wing Librarian - thank you for sharing that recipe last night. (guess via hoosiermama?) . I have never made homemade noodles (or pierogi or spaetzel) or any of that type of food. I usually buy the better quality prepared and they are very expensive so would love to try this eventually. How nice I have Dwight D Eisenhower’s mom’s recipe but NOT one of my own grandma’s.. mostly my mom and her mom were not recipe people. Just a little of this and a pinch of that. And a lot of variation along the way. Maybe that is why I don’t do much with bakery/cakes. All that needs to be precise.

Yaelle - Taking care of mom and missing a lot as a result… I remember well those days (years, decades).. rather a thankless work but it is the right thing to do. There are many others here who took care of parents in like manner. You struggle with pity parties and resentment and then feel guilty… Bless you hon. It has been 5 years since my mom’s death and I never look back and think that I did the wrong thing to give up a LOT and care for her.

Had Loretta Lynn and here large group of performers with us this past weekend at hotel. Next weekend we have the Temptations on Sat and Thunder Down Under on Sunday.. so will again be hammered and understaffed (just me other than housekeepers, laundry and breakfast hostess who are present til about 3)

The Art of the Deal

Throughout the book there are a LOT of examples of the strength of the winning party setting HIS boundaries and sticking with them. This section goes back to the original gaming process in NJ. Pg 207 -208

“What concerned me, I said, was the New Jersey had acquired a reputation for making it very difficult for any developer to do business in the gaming area. Licensing investigations had dragged on for eighteen months and more. Much as I wanted to build a great casino on the great site I’d assembled, I said, I had a very successful real estate business in New York and I was more than willing to walk away from Atlantic City if the regulatory process proved to be too difficult or too time[ consuming. The bottom line, I concluded was that I didn’t intend to invest any more money - or begin construction - until I got a decision one way or the other on my licensing”

“The attorney general said to me, ‘No, Mr. Trump, you’re not right about New Jersey. The licensing process can work her efficiently. I can’t give you any promises about the outcome of your investigation. We may find out that you are not licensable. What I can promise is tat if you cooperate fully, well give you an answer one way or the other in six months.’ Then he turned to his director of gaming enforcement and said, ‘isn’t that true?’ “

”The director tried to walk a tightrope, ‘Well, , we’ll do our best,’ he said, ‘but it may take a year.’ “

“At that point, I jumped back in. ‘Well, if it takes a year,’ I said, ‘them I’m out of here. Im prepared to cooperate fully, but I’m not going to sit around twiddling my thumbs waiting for answers.’ The attorney general nodded, and his director agreed. It was clear that six months was our timetable, and they would try hard to meet it.”

(and reading further, it will be seen that the timetable was met. A firm negotiator will prevail)
