It’s true that Trump brings up issues that liberals wouldn’t, and that he isn’t politically correct. I’m not at all confident, though, that his anti-establishment positions are based on political conviction. I doubt that he’s any different from the man he’s always been (a blusterous self-promoter — the kind of celebrity who obtrudes himself upon the public at athletic events).
I prefer him to Hillary merely because I know she’ll take stands I oppose. With Trump it’s merely a suspicion. If he’s elected — which I think unlikely — I won’t be surprised if he betrays his supporters as badly or worse than the Republican establishment has.

Rather than make wild guesses, read ‘The Art of the Deal ‘, written decades ago. He talks about following through on what you promise - he used Carter and Reagan as examples and was impressed with one man who did deals with a handshake, one’s word should be good enough.
