So now election year promises are how we define Conservatism?

By that criteria, the whole GOP is conservative.

I thought that’s why Conservatives look to the record to determine a candidate’s Conservatism.

I must have missed the memo.

When it comes right down to it, that’s all Cruz has too. Campaign promises. Cruz has no real world experience whatsoever. He was a great solicitor general for the state of Texas, but has zero executive experience and really no legislative experience to speak of either.

No, Trump's election year promises are what matters. If you think sticking with the DC status quo, led by Hillary or the GOPe/mimi-GOPE (Ted Cruz), then take your vote elsewhere, I guess.

God, you sound like the Tories did during the American Revolution!

By that criteria, the whole GOP is conservative.

Your criteria is flawed. Coming from other "conservatives", politicians all, the election year promises are as empty as they've been for decades.

These promises are coming from Donald Trump, not some run-of-the-mill politician. And, by all accounts, Donald Trump is a man of his word.

Trump will be different. At least he's willing to try something different in the face of a corrupt and entrenched system that promises all members of the Uniparty a spot at the feeding trough, as long as they play along.

I thought that’s why Conservatives look to the record to determine a candidate’s Conservatism.

Trump doesn't have a political record, but he has a good record as a red-blooded American capitalist in the real world, as opposed to the phony world of politics.

I must have missed the memo.

Yes, you missed the memo where we need Revolutionary change in Washington DC, and the only person even remotely willing and able to lead that change is Donald J. Trump.

Vote Trump

There’s lots of great conservatives here. The problem is you are saying we have to have career politicians so we can see their votes. That’s not what the founding fathers had in mind.

A. NONE of the GOPe Senators’ ACTUAL “records” indicate that they are “conservative”.

B. OUTSIDER NON-POLITICIANS have no “record”: that’s how you know they are outsiders and are not politicians.
