A magnitude-7.8 earthquake occurred Saturday evening on the coast of Ecuador, according to the United States Geological Survey.
The tremor was recorded at a depth of 19.2 kilometers (11.9 miles).
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries in the capital of Quito, located 173 kilometers (108 miles) from the epicenter of the earthquake.

NJ is full of Ecuadoreans; I expect this will be the pretense to move their extended families here. The country uses $US as their currency already - assists in adapting to life in the US.

Yes, more trouble perhaps with this coming full moon, or perhaps even worse with the next new moon when both the sun and the moon are pulling in the same direction. Then, of course, a major volcanic event could also occur.
