My father was a huge fan. He loved MGs and Triumphs but always said owners of either of them needed to have two cars, the fun Brit sports car and a dependable American car such as a Chrysler for back up because the sports car would spend more time in the shop than on the road. He knew too, he owned 6 or 7 of them.
When I was a young teen my dream car was an Austin-Healy 3000.
