But as Tarar makes clear, voters are far more complicated than any single identity. Hes Muslim, but hes also conservative and pissed off at the establishment and worried about terrorism.

I hope that many more foreign-born Moslems renounce terrorism as he has done. It will be a reassuring sign that not all Moslems are terrorists (which we know) and that those who are tolerant, devoted to peaceful ways, and are becoming Americanized to some positive degree, are becoming part of our society.
This is one way to reject the appeal of Islamic jihadism.
