The man was also educated at American University (where I did my graduate studies). He saw that America is a great place to live, study, and enjoy freedom.
I hope that many more foreign-born Moslems renounce terrorism as he has done. It will be a reassuring sign that not all Moslems are terrorists (which we know) and that those who are tolerant, devoted to peaceful ways, and are becoming Americanized to some positive degree, are becoming part of our society.
This is one way to reject the appeal of Islamic jihadism.
