If prices are truly determined by supply and demand, then the companies riding the cheap labor express can still charge the same price and just pocket the difference.

Then the people who are unemployed or have crappy jobs spend less money buying from the companies employing the people who still have jobs.

It is a death spiral, just like in the Great Depression.
