RE: Ah, the tales of the two Teds...First he say H1Bs increase jobs for Americans.
Well what to say, Trump isn’t any different.
He was for abortion, now he’s pro-life
Trump supported the assault-weapon ban in 2000. He opposes restrictions now.
In 1999 and 2000, Trump expressed a staunch desire for the US to adopt universal healthcare. He calls this an entitlement. Now he says something different.
Trump has a long history with Hillary Clinton, donating to her campaigns in 2002, 2005, 2006 and 2007, as well as donating a six-digit sum to the Clinton Foundation. Clinton even attended Trumps 2005 wedding, and Trump once called her a fantastic Senator. Now he’s against her.
In 2002 he was in he was in favor of the Iraq war. Now h tells us that Bush LIED to get us into the war.
Donald Trump declared in February that “torture works” and that he would “bring back waterboarding and I’d bring back a hell of a lot worse than waterboarding.” The next day, Trump walked back his comments.
“I will not order a military officer to disobey the law. It is clear that as president I will be bound by laws just like all Americans and I will meet those responsibilities,” Trump said in a statement that also acknowledged that the U.S. “is bound by laws and treaties.”
The day after that, Trump again changed his answer again.
“We’re going to stay within the laws. But you know what we’re going to do? We’re going to have those laws broadened because we’re playing with two sets of rules: their rules and our rules,” Trump said pointing to ISIS’s tactics.
Which Trump will we see next?
Sure Trump may have stands we are not too happy about but as a businessman I would expect nothing less of him.
People thought Ronald Reagan, a movie and TV actor would never be a successful president, and look how well he did. So why not a successful businessman like Donald Trump.
Hes been ProLife for a while now - nothing wrong with that.
Im glad he changed his mind from 17 years ago regarding assault weapons, bear in mind he never had any responsibility for any legislation...he obviously was against gun control and, if he was like myself 17 years ago, didnt understand the assault weapons gun grab tactic, I could understand:
Trumps gun statements in his 2000 book. In the books brief section on guns, Trump said: Democrats want to confiscate all guns, which is a dumb idea because only the law-abiding citizens would turn in their guns and the bad guys would be the only ones left armed. The Republicans walk the NRA line and refuse even limited restrictions.
Next, Trump wrote, I generally oppose gun control, but I support the ban on assault weapons and I support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun. With todays Internet technology we should be able to tell within 72 hours if a potential gun owner has a record.
In a March 2016 debate, Trump was asked to speak to his published support for an assault-weapon ban. He replied: I dont support it anymore. I do not support the ban on assault weapons, he said.
In early 90s, Gingrich, Santorum, Specter, Lugar, Warner, Hatch, Hatfield, Dole, Chafee, Bennet, Danforth, Romney, GH Bush, Quayle, Grassley, Cohen, Gorton Kassebaum, Simpson, Stevens, Warner, and more also supported 1993 Heritage Foundation healthcare bill with(Universal Healthcare). Trump has really good and realistic competitive and compassionate ideas on healthcare now...Im glad to see them. Hes not just saying something different - it is not that easily dismissed.
Trump has donated about half a million dollars more to Republicans than to Democrats...yes, a businessman gets things done, even in blue states, eh!?
Torture does work. Im glad hes looking for ways to get it done, within the law or by changing law.
Trump didnt have any more intelligence on the Iraq war, than you or I, assuming you arent on the inside getting briefs either. He had no responsibility to know anything...a Howard Stern interview is what youre going to hold his feet to the fire with. Well, good luck with that.
