For the last forty years youth have not been taught the first rule of looking for a job.

FIRST impressions matter!

Your short post was one of the most accurate and brilliant of the day (so far).
Back then, High School Juniors and Seniors attended class asemblies where the boys and girls were actually TAUGHT(!!) how to apply and GET that first job.
We were taught how to read and decode Help Wanted ads. How to dress to impress and “FOR HEAVEN’S SAKE” get that wad of gum out of your morth.
I can say with assurance that many, many of those students obtained that job, and further, I know of many classmates who NEVER left that company, but rose within the ranks to become leading executives. One comes to mind who began by put out vegatables in a leading Surpermarket chain, and later retired from a company executive office.
That has been lost to the students of today’s “educational world”.
