The next time you hear Mark Levin on the radio, or watch Glenn Beck on TV, or read Erick Erickson, RedState.com on the Internet, you might just ask yourself who is paying for the message? And why is it so stridently anti-Trump?

As the spearhead of the “Dump Trump” movement, the same GOP establishment big-dollar donors and PACS that are pushing House Speaker Paul Ryan as a dark-horse presidential candidate, despite the big-government omnibus-budget deals Ryan reached last year with President Obama, are funding Mark Levin, Erick Erickson, and Glenn Beck, to promote Sen. The panhandler Republican media is the nevertrump thing. I think Levin and Beck are a little different from the salem/national review/Kristol pure panhandler constructs. I think Levin was hired by Cruz. Beck is just too insane to get a read on. I don’t think it’s money with Beck, though.
This story does not surprise me much. The truth is that an entire political party and whole sections of the punditry and media on both the left and the right dedicate every day to destroying Trump. They are being paid by people who do not want their gig disrupted by the only outsider running. If Cruz had to deal with 10% of the flak that Trump catches every day I believe he would curl up into a little ball and never come out of his safe space.
Heck, if I had $400K to spend to save the Republic, I don't know of a better way than to buy and distribute Levin's books.

The answer to the first question is that Trump incessantly accuses Cruz (and everyone else who opposes him) of being a GOPe guy or a crook.
The answer to the second question is the same answer. (The Alinskyites could explain that for FReepers.)

That is a million dollar question. He is so divisive with his characteristic assassinations and his supporters think anyone who does not support him is a defective human being, horribly flowed. Amazing he doesn’t have self restraint to pretend to be presidential for more than 48 hours and doesn’t take time to actually study policy.
I do agree that most politicians in the GOP have zero principles.
That’s why they have hated on Cruz for four years.
The group that bought all of those Levin books targets incumbent GOP establishment Senators. It doesn’t support them.
