It would be rather odd if Anchor babies, born on U.S. soil of two alien parents are Natural Born Citizens by virtue of the 14th Amendment, but a child born of a U.S. citizen on foreign would not be. There are good reasons that these rulings have been consistent thus far.

Good point.
I maintain that there are very few Americans who would hold against Cruz, whether they would ever vote for him or not, the fact that he was born to an American citizen mother, left Canada at age THREE and has lived continuously in the U.S. for the last 42 years.

And that reason is eloquently summed up by John Godfrey Saxe's wonderful poem, "The Blind men and the Elephant."

And so these men of Indostan
Disputed loud and long,
Each in his own opinion
Exceeding stiff and strong,
Though each was partly in the right,
And all were in the wrong!
