I find Cruz increasingly off putting. In a pinch I would vote for him in November, but not invest any time, emotion, or energy in his campaign. Why would I? He’s almost a certain loser in November, and if somehow he did win we would be treated to a steady diet of excuses as to why he hasn’t meaningfully followed through on any conservative goal.
He’s a smirking, smarmy, smartest kid in the sixth grade type of guy. He’s very close to the mainstream media depiction of Republicans as stiff, out of touch, smirking jackoff types. It’s not a good thing.

They've created a dangerous chaos, a looted economy, a near worthless dollar, trade deal which only benefit the super wealthy insiders and foreign countries and lawless borders and chain immigration policies which only a Communist who wanted to bury America would love.
They simply ran out of chances with me some years ago.
