Make no mistake, they don’t like either candidate. They just know that Trump will lose in November and can’t be counted on to hold the same position on any policy for more than 18 months.

Totally disagree. Cruz collects a government paycheck, government benefits, and donor goodies.
Trump makes his own paycheck, his own benefits, creates tens of thousands of jobs and billions in wealth.
Cruz is a net expense and has never created anything.
If not for political expedience, why do you think Trump changed his position on Iraq, partial birth abortion, gun control, amnesty, Hillary Clinton, etc...??

McCain called him a “wacko bird”. In an unprecedented move, the RNC gave opposition research to Fox News Sunday to discredit Cruz. Rand Paul said Cruz was “done in the Senate”. By any objective measure, Cruz was an enemy of the GOPe during his Senate primary fight and during his first 4 years in the Senate. Now for some reason you can’t figure out why they are siding with him?
