Even as a diehard Trumpster, I am thoroughly bewildered and aghast at how NAIVE Mr. Trump clearly is about the devious nature of politics. As literally a “World Class Businessman,” it is beyond my comprehensive and all reasoning, how he could actually be this gullible!!
I’m still praying that somehow he wises up; hopefully, it’s not too late!!!

It doesn’t have to do with being naive, Color had a gop convention, with the leaders being establishment henchmen, so no Trump supporters would be allowed on the delegation. There’s nothing he could do, because his supporters couldn’t even get their foot in the door.

So he made a strategic decision to focus on new york and other primaries where the people actually vote.

You don’t understand how screwed up the CO caucus system is.

Trump in the race simply illustrated how bad it is.

The CO delegates were originally slated for Jeb Bush. There wasn’t chance in the world that they were going anywhere else.

Until Jeb dropped out.

Since he has suspended his campaign, the place holder for the GOPe is Cruz, who will control those delegates until the RNC, then, after a few slight of hand tricks, they are slated to go back to Jeb, or maybe Mitt.

Cruz will never get to enjoy the delegates at the convention.

See posts by snarkpup to hear it from someone who has firsthand experience with this corruption.

What could Trump have done different that delegates who were for Trump were removed by the corrupt party apparatus in Co? Lying Cruz the snake is full bore doing the gopE dirty work now. We thought Jeb and Rubio were the gopE snakes working the inside to rig the process, it is Cruz and has been all along,

In Trump's defense, he has been busy running a large business empire, and probably does not have time to study every nuance of political maneuvering.

Furthermore, if what some posters here are saying is true, there is nothing that Trump could have done to make the CO caucus come out differently. According to them, the delegates were preselected to vote for whomever the GOPe told them to vote for.

In any case, take this as even more evidence that Trump is a true outsider, a real people's candidate. And Cruz's true colors are showing.
