I can’t go along with denying McCain birthright status. It would be a gotcha technicality as his father was a freaking Admiral in the Navy.

All I’m saying is that McCain in 2008 had eligibility problems as did Obama because at that point everybody still accepted the definition of natural born citizen as born in the US of two US parents. McCain was a little iffy but IMO was still likely just this side of eligible.

The two political parties in 2008 decided to take it upon themselves to change the definition of natural born citizen and to date the high court will not intervene. So until and unless the high court or one of the political parties does intervene we will have non eligible candidates.
