Used the same strategy to win his TX senate seat with an extremely low turnout in the runoff. He kept Dewhurst under 50 percent in the 1st vote and in the runoff won. Cruz-bots don’t care how they win using shenanigans and any method possible. Many are pure SLIME.

This

Ted has figured out he can’t win with voters so he’s focusing on a few hundred delegates

Helluva way to win a nomination
How’s he going to use that in a general election?
Trump the naive fool out there giving speeches to tens of thousands at his rallies as if winning the popular vote still meant winning

Kasich was mathmatically excluded several weeks ago. He is hanging on in hopes that his 144 delegates might become good bargaining chips.

Rubio could also come into play with his 173 delegates.

Cruz has 529 delegates. He needs 708 of the remaining 789 to get to 1237.

Trump has 758 delegates. He needs 479 of the remaining 789 to get to 1237.

It is enough that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything. Joseph Stalin

” The longer Cruz hangs on after the April primaries the more dissatisfied Republican voters will be with Cruz. Cruz’s strategy of taking the election from a popular candidate, who will have won nearly six times the number of primaries as he, will become unreasonable and classless.”

Unsubstantiated assumption.

It would be more reasonable to say: Since Trump’s unfavorable ratings have continued to decline from 54.5% in November to 64.4% in April, the more dissatisfied Republican voters will be with Trump. Over 60% of the voters have voted against the unpopular Trump, and the strategy of denying him the nomination will seem more reasonable and appropriate.

Good point. Lyin’Ted is definitely not someone who grows on you.

I grew to loath him. Now I feel revulsion when I see his face or hear his voice. I didn't used to.

I always said I would vote for the last Republican standing, but no more. If the last Republican standing is Cruz or Ryan or Romney, I’m writing in Trump and no doubt will hate the next 4 years of Shrillary or Bernie.

Whaaaaaa! Voters believing the delegates are bound for life are ignorant.

Yeah, those dumbass voters, bought the whole "one man one vote" line.

All this talk of a brokered convention is great hype for the news channels and the big hoopla that Cruz is stealing delegates from Trump is titillating but the truth of the matter is that Trump is winning and he’s going to be the nominee. He has been winning since about 2 weeks after he announced.

Cruz hanging around to try to be a spoiler is going to get old real quick after April 26th. The minute he is mathematically out of the equation voters are going to expect him to bow out. There are a few demented cruzbots on FR who have no clue how politics works and they are in for a rude awakening.

Major figures will start encouraging Ted to get out of the race for the good of the party. They may offer him the keynote speech at the convention or some other deal to get him back on board with the agenda. If Trump is smart he will offer Cruz Scalia’s spot. I would.

Totally agree. This brokered convention meme is all about making you glue your eyes to the media tv screen for ratings. It is largely bs.

“Half of Americans have been divorced”

Why ………………. make up statistics?

It is amazing how this urban myth just keeps going round and round. It's mostly perpetuated in churches by preachers intent on making people know how utterly sinful they are. Not that we aren't sinful, I have lustful (but brief) thoughts every day (thank God He is very very good at helping me keep my hands to myself!!).

Trump owns no delegates as 70% will be unbound after the first ballot.

Delegates choosing to vote for Cruz on the second ballot are NOT “stolen”.

Grow up and get over it.

And Trump voters will be unbound to the GOP in November. The Entire GOP ticket will be massacred. Hillary says Thank You Ted Cruz.

Open you eyes. Ted Cruz will never be POTUS.
