and it stands to reason that the population of party members at the state and local levels (and nominally conservative chatrooms like FR) includes a substantial number of people who will do everything they can get away with to prevent Trump from being nominated.

FR's Pro-Trump support is at 80 percent according to daily caucus. The NeverTrumps, what very few exist, tend not to last very long.

Oh, I'm not so sure. Some come back - libbylu for example - others hide behind a claim that they'd vote for Trump if he got the nomination.

No matter, FR is a self-selected group of chatters, and what passes here is of no meaningful consequence. Out in the real world, what works is power and influence. It is heartening to see that the press and parties are losing their ability to influence perception, but they still have the power.
