And...you know what...after that ... my college degrees were child’s play.

I recall back in grade school one of the teachers carried a ruler. If a student acted out, he got a slap on the back of the hand with the ruler. It hurt like hell, but got our attention.
None of us ever even thought of whining to anyone over it. Physical discipline works. Kids of our era grew up respecting others, their property and their rights, the jails were less full, the whole place was just safer. Most of us were afraid of a teacher calling our parents, as the discipline at home was usually worse.
As long as little junior keeps getting over on teacher and parents, little junior will most likely turn out to be a less than desirable adult. Too useless to work, a ward of the state either on welfare or prison.

When I was a 7th grader, I had a math teacher I despised and the feeling was more than mutual. One day I said something that displeased him. The squat little fella jumped up from behind his desk, ran to me and swatted me across the face.
I fell to the floor, bleeding from a two inch cut he opened above my eye.
Though I totally deserved it, I often regret growing up in such a primitive age. If it happened today, I could have sued him, the horse he rode in on, and, the school district and never worked an honest day the rest of my life.
