Iran's defense minister on Saturday blasted Secretary of State John Kerry's for what he called his foolish accusations that Tehran is "destabilizing" the Middle East, AFP reports.
If the United States seeks "stability" it should "leave the region and stop supporting terrorists," Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan said, quoted by the website of state television.
"If John Kerry thought about these subjects, he would no longer utter nonsense and foolish words," added the Iranian minister.
The comments came after Kerry, speaking on a visit to Bahrain on Thursday, condemned "the destabilizing actions of Iran," noting that the United States was taking Tehran's actions "very seriously".
But Dehghan denounced Kerry's remarks as a sign of "frustration" at "Iran's defense capabilities", charging that it is the U.S. that is intervening in the Middle East on account of massive arms sales.
"Americans have made countries in the region dependent on them through sale of weapons and suggesting that implementing U.S. policies are a must for their survival", he said.
The comments come amid tensions over Irans ongoing ballistic missile tests, in violation of UN resolutions.

I agree with the Muzzies on this one. Kerry is a blithering idiot.
> If the United States seeks “stability” it should “leave the region and stop supporting terrorists”
I couldn’t agree more. How exactly did we go from fighting Al-Qaeda to arming, funding, and training them, again?
Roflmao. Ignorant bastard Kerry.
Will Kerry and Obama apologize for being so foolish?
They both need to put on trial for treason.
He really is. You hear the words, but taken together, they make no sense.
He, however, is so impressed with himself that he’s breathlessly hanging on each word he says.
“How exactly did we go from fighting Al-Qaeda to arming, funding, and training them, again?”
We elected somebody who thinks he knows everything and refuses to listen to anybody. Obama said, “I’m a better policy maker than my policy makers. I’m a better analyst than my annalists...” and his diatribe goes on to cover just about every job reporting to the president. In addition, he is anti-American and antilife. How could we end up with a coherent policy when the guy creating it is clueless?
“Tehran is ‘destabilizing’ the Middle East?” I thought that was the Obama Administration’s job.
The answer I was looking for was “Hillary Clinton became Secretary of State then was paid countless millions by Saudi Arabia and an assortment of other despotic Gulf oil kingdoms in order to subvert national foreign policy to the will of hostile powers”.
Obama is so obviously not in the loop on anything I can’t even bring myself to blame him anymore. All he does is read what is put on the teleprompter and play golf.
“Obama is so obviously not in the loop on anything I cant even bring myself to blame him anymore.”
I’ve read several books on organizational theory. Organizations reflect the guy at the top. If the guy at the top is crazy that craziness will be reflected all the way down to the janitor. That is why the Secret Service is getting caught in sex scandals. I can’t recall that happening under any other president. Every department, from the FBI to the DOJ to Education reflects Obama’s particular ideological and immorality bent.
You won’t find a single order signed by Hitler ordering the execution of the Jews. That’s because Hitler hired and promoted people with his ideology so no orders were necessary. Obama appointed Hillary Clinton and the two horrible DOJ heads. He is at fault. However, we, the people elected him. Twice. So, ultimately, the fault is ours too.
Obama is a glorified PR spokesman. He most definitely NOT the guy at the top, no matter what the formal org chart may say.
“”Obama appointed Hillary Clinton and the two horrible DOJ heads.””
Who all had to be and were confirmed by Congress..he’s a menace to our country all right but the people’s representatives aren’t innocent by any means. Clueless for sure but not innocent.
