AUSTIN, Texas - New details are emerging about a homeless 17-year-old who will be charged with murder in the death of a University of Texas dance major in the heart of the bustling campus, police say.
Meechaiel Criner wasn't believed to be a university student and hadn't been living in Austin long. Police Chief Art Acevedo said Friday that Criner could face additional charges in the slaying of 18-year-old Oregon native Haruka Weiser.

CBS News correspondent David Begnaud reported surveillance video showed the suspect following the victim, reaching into his back pocket and pulling out what was described in the arrest warrant as "a shiny rigid object."

The suspect's grandmother told CBS affiliate KSLA that Criner had been under psychiatric care since he was a child. She described him as a well-mannered kid until someone made him mad -- and then he'd snap.

I believe in Texas you are charged as an adult at age 17.
The majority can not have such organizations - purportedly would be racist. Of course, that now but some time is the future they all will be unfortunately necessary to preserve rights for minority white people in America. It's been projected that in 30 years (2045) whites will be a minority in America. I will be dead.

Easily explained: He was experiencing a sexual emergency.

In my opinion, Mental issues is all the more reason someone needs to be executed. As far as i'm concerned, "Insanity" ought to be an automatic Death sentence.

Any sentence in the big house will be good enough. Things have a way of working out.
They have good PR.
I’m not sure I’d call Texarkana ‘urban’.
He looks like he could have been an athlete.
What an absurd statement!
You cannot grasp the difference between cannot and CHOOSE NOT TO??
All Societies from the most primitive to the most "enlightened" have, not only the right, but the obligation to protect the innocent and the non killers among those societies.
Volumes have been written on that conundrum by social philosophers since time began.
That some societies choose (or are imposed on them) dull, stupid, dogmatic or arbitrary leaders, it is a crime, and a crime that the general population has a right to correct, by any means necessary.
Paying women to have babies results in unwanted babies. Homeless here probably means mama didn’t want him anymore, but wanted to keep the checks coming
No, kids these days are deceived into believing that one is a racist for profiling whereas paying attention and a bit of profiling probably would have saved this girl’s life. The young campus types are mere cannon fodder for those who peddle the lie that there is no difference between people.
Has the purpose father been identified — ever? That’s the problem. All these Black kids with no father grow up to be feral predators.
I hammer this point constantly. I don't understand how so many people (even conservatives) can so routinely ignore it.
24th Amendment!
Allowing non-taxpayers to vote CREATED the war on Poverty. (vote farm scheme for Democrats.)
War on Poverty created fatherless homes. Fatherless homes created dangerous feral offspring. (Children who were not taught right from wrong.)
Feral offspring started causing massive amounts of crime.
Murder rate went up. Rape rate went up. Robbery rate went up.
14 years after the "War on Poverty" created welfare homes, dangerous little criminal juveniles became old enough to commit crime. Daniel Patrick Moynihan noticed this same effect at the time.
The root cause is the 24th amendment.
Do you think some of the “ladies” procuring late-term abortions have been collecting baby payments for five or six months before deciding to go the way of the bloody axe? Would some keep drawing for some months thereafter before being caught?
YES! Try reading the article
Moynihan noticed it early, but he learned to keep his mouth shut thereafter! And he recommended Mrs. Bill as his Senate successor.
I can't totally escape my upbringing, education, religious beliefs and knowledge of history.
I would agree with you without reservation, for the second innocent death victim.
I would additionally also make it mandatory that any judge or legislator who enables a second or further death by the same killer to occur due to an excess of stupidity, also be subject to the death sentence.
“Why aren’t we hunting leftists in the streets?”
Why can we not find a way to ‘dump’ them all on the front door of our local congresscritter?
Or at the door of Obama’s relatives here illegally?
Or on the door steps of left leaning court judges?
Or Wherever the “Iman Hussein the 1st” goes in retirement
