Trump convention manager (Manafort): 'Winning isn't enough'
CNN ^ | 4/8/2016 | Julia Manchester

Manafort joins the Trump campaign as a contested Republican convention becomes more likely. Trump suffered a critical loss to Texas Sen. Ted Cruz Tuesday in the Wisconsin primary. However, the strategist says he is confident the Cruz campaign will hit a rough patch, allowing Trump to win the 1,237 delegates needed to win the nomination outright.

"Utah and New York are two different states," he said. "By the time we get to California, the momentum is going to be clear, and Ted Cruz's path to victory will be in shambles."

Paul Manafort’s confidence is the clarion call Trumpsters like me needed to hear. Cruz’ days of dirty deeds are numbered!! Buckle up, Trump Train!!

Well, to be honest, I'm not on the Trump Train, but it really bothered me that Trump either didn't bother to learn the primary process......or he was trusting people that didn't know anything.

At least calling in an "expert" shows me that he will get help when he needs it.........unlike the man who lives in the White House right now.

No whining is planned. Ultimately it is the delegates who make the decision. And the voters in November pass judgment.

I don’t think they will go off the menu for a nominee. That would be really stupid.

Cruz raiding so called “unpledged delegates” is a myth. No unpledged delegate can technically even be registered as a Cruz delegate until the Convention when they arrive in the unpledged status and stay that way until they vote. That is my understanding. TRUMP can possibly even un-do these delegates between now and the Convention, peel them off from Cruz, in the same manner that Cruz peeled them off from the now felled candidates no longer in the race.

100% Right. The raid agit/prop was Cruz looking for attention. He has a knack for sending out misleading info......like the Caron Iowa fiasco, and the shming letter.

I hope to God Manafort ordered the right size cement overshoes for St Ted.

Cruz has been sitting on spin, wondering when the hell TRUMP would engage on the ground.

The bell has finally rung. Round II.

Coreless Cartel Cruz is about to be matched expeditiously, and then dispatched through the nearest exit.

Yes, I am quite surprised that Mr. Trump didn’t have a better understanding of the delegate process for president. He apparently went in thinking that flyover rallies and honest vote counts would be enough. Yet, he does stress that he has never met anyone who lies like Cruz. Perhaps, his honest, trusting nature caused him to be naive about how downright dirty politics is.
Another thing that is driving me nuts right now is how much time he is taking off the campaign trail. He even said on facebook and twitter today that he still does run his company!! Yikes!! Just makes me shake my head because he does criticize Romney for disappearing during the last General Election when Obama was going on Jay Leno & David Letterman, etc.
I’m just thankful that he has brought in thee renowned delegate expert in Paul Manafort, who expressed supreme confidence earlier today on CNN that Trump will have the delegates he needs after June 7.
