I miss Pius X
I thought about mentioning him (or Pius IX), but I can't remember either of them, as I was not yet born, so I cannot truly miss them.

My grandparents weren’t born when he was Pope - but his warnings about how changing times/society can’t change Church teachings have probably never been more applicable than today.

You can, of course, read Lamentabile Sane and Pascendi Domenici Gregis to see what you missed. Knowing you, as I do, I doubt you missed that. You are just being clever and mischievous.
As to Pius IX who bore the perfect papal name: Pio Nono, he demonstrated that even a liberal can become pope and then "grow" in office to actual Catholicism.
